Over the past few years, we’ve been recognizing our staff members internally with a ‘Star Award’ on our employee website, but we’ve been keeping them a secret from our communities…not anymore! It’s time to start spreading the word about how great, caring, dedicated, super and awesome our employees are!
So without further ado, meet Bobi. Our very first staff feature in our “Powered by People” series and the most recent recipient of our internal ‘Star Award’.
Bobi has been with the Credit Union for 23 years. During that time she has always worked at the Tranquille Branch and filled several roles from Casual Teller to Financial Service Representative and now Member Service Advisor.
Bobi has an infectious spirit. She strives to support her co-workers in every aspect of our day-to-day operations. “Aunty Bobi” can always be counted on when you are having a busy day. She’ll often assist others when they are feeling overwhelmed picking up whatever she can to make your load lighter.
Bobi is beloved by her members and is often waited for when members come in the branch. We asked Bobi a few questions about her work with Interior Savings, and here’s what she had to say:
What do you like about working at Interior Savings?
I have to say my members & fellow employees (not just at this branch either) make it a joy to come to work everyday – truly.
What causes/organizations are you passionate about?
I am passionate about my church.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Never judge – always put yourself in the other person’s shoes.
Are you a spender or a saver?
Definitely a spender.
What’s your biggest impulse buy or something you buy daily or weekly that is an indulgence?
Popcorn!!!! I make popcorn for the staff almost every Friday.
Who would you nominate for the next feature and why?
Melissa Gilchrist – She is so helpful, always has a smile and is willing to take on anything thrown at her.
