Stephanie has been working hard to make the library a welcoming hub for culture, learning and enjoyment. However, throughout the years, she’s noticed an unfortunate reality – that for many, the library can simply be a place of refuge

As a librarian, her first thought was naturally to use her portion of the $100 to acquire more authentic Indigenous resources such as books, graphic novels and a variety of digital materials — something she’d been working towards, even before hearing about the Local Give campaign. However, when she brought the initial idea to the students, they had something entirely different in mind — something symbolic and meaningful, and more permanent.

Yvonne has always loved to coordinate, organize and encourage others to help make shared dreams a reality. So, when she heard about $10,000 Local Give while picking up a latte at her favourite coffee shop, she knew she wanted to get involved.

Through our bursary programs, Interior Savings aims to support our members when they choose to further their education by making tuition fees seem a little less daunting.

The much-loved Interior Savings Fat Cat Children’s Festival is back June 7th and 8th in Kelowna’s Waterfront Park. This year’s theme is The Power of Play – and there will be plenty of opportunities to do just that!

Meet Nicole Arnott, an almost fifteen year Member Service Advisor veteran at our Ashcroft branch. We asked Nicole a few questions about life, local love and working at Interior Savings. Here’s what she had to say.

Since 2011, our very own Heidi Miller has volunteered for Co-operative Development Foundation (CDF) of Canada Women’s Mentorship Program. The experience has been nothing short of life-changing, not only for the participants, but for Heidi too.
