This March marks the 8th annual Okanagan Embrace Aging Month; a partnership between Interior Savings, UBC’s Institute for Healthy Living and Chronic Disease Prevention and Interior Health. It’s an opportunity for all ages to expand their knowledge and gain practical tips and skills to age well. As a certified age-friendly business, with a community impact goal to promote social connection with age, we’re thrilled to support this initiative.

This year, over 25 free seminars and workshops will go online and cover a wide range of topics including caregiving at a distance, gut health, building a mason bee home, homecare vs long term care, Métis beadwork, advance care planning and a spring-inspired painting workshop. There’s even a special International Women’s Day celebration focusing on Women of the Okanagan. For information and to register for these and the rest of the seminars and workshops, go to OkanaganEmbraceAging.com.
