Parenthood is a wild and wonderful journey and sometimes can test even the most patient of people. Now imagine for a moment that you’re a new mom; perhaps just graduated from high school. You’re feeling very uncertain about the future, and even your ability to parent. It’s a lonely place, and if you don’t feel as though you have someone to talk to – someone to guide you – that place is not only lonely but also a little scary too, especially since there’s a tiny little being that is depending on you. That’s where the Empowering Moms program comes in.
Facilitated by the Kamloops Pregnancy Care Centre, the Empowering Moms program provides support to moms through mentorship and skill development so they are enabled to create the best life for themselves and their children.
We believe parents can make a remarkable difference in setting their children up for success in life. It’s for this reason that we’re focusing our efforts on supporting programs that give parents the tools they need to create environments in which their children can thrive. The Empowering Moms program is a wonderful example of this, and we’re proud to partner with the Kamloops Pregnancy Care Centre. Watch the video below to learn more.
